Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ife, an AI assistant made available at ai.gdatai.com and via the Ife AI VS Code extension and website widget (together, the "Service"), provided by Global Datai Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales (company number 16402712), whose website is gdatai.com ("Global Datai", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Ife is a general-purpose AI assistant - it can answer questions, search the web, draft emails, generate documents and images, help organise tasks and projects, and write or explain code, among other things. Ife is Global Datai's own standalone product; it is not a feature of, or limited to, any other Global Datai product (including GLOBDAI CRM).
2. Accounts
You need an account to use most of the Service. You can create one with an email and password, or by signing in with Google or Microsoft. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, in line with the minimum digital-consent age under the UK Data Protection Act 2018.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Break the law, or generate content that is illegal, fraudulent, or infringes someone else's rights;
- Abuse, harass, or attempt to harm another person;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or the accounts of others;
- Present AI-generated output as being independently verified fact, or as professional legal, medical, or financial advice, without appropriate human review.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. AI-Generated Content
Ife's replies are generated by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date - the Service says as much in the product itself. Always use your own judgement, and verify anything important before relying on it, especially for decisions with legal, financial, medical, or safety consequences.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the messages, files, and other content you submit to Ife ("Your Content"). By submitting it, you grant us a licence to process it as needed to operate and improve the Service - including sending relevant parts of it to the third-party AI providers that generate Ife's replies (see our Privacy Policy for details). You're responsible for making sure you have the right to submit whatever you send.
6. Subscriptions & Billing
Ife offers a free tier and one or more paid tiers with higher usage limits and extra capabilities. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment processor, Stripe, on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't provide partial refunds for unused time except where required by law.
7. Third-Party Sign-In & Services
If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, that provider's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of their sign-in service. Ife's replies are generated using third-party AI model providers - see our Privacy Policy for which categories of provider are involved.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service itself - its software, design, and the Ife name and branding - belongs to Global Datai Limited or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you, beyond the licence to use the Service as intended.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to the Service or other users.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Global Datai Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service, or for decisions made in reliance on AI-generated output. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example as the Service changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
