Last updated: 6 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Global Datai Limited (company number 16402712, incorporated in England and Wales, "Global Datai", "we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data through Ife, our AI assistant available at ai.gdatai.com and via the Ife AI VS Code extension and website widget (the "Service"). Cookie-specific detail lives in our separate Cookie Policy, which applies across gdatai.com and the Service.

2. How We Use It

3. Who We Share It With

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only where it's genuinely needed to run the Service:

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your data on these bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service you've signed up for), legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure and improving it), and consent (for optional analytics/marketing cookies, which you can withdraw at any time - see our Cookie Policy).

5. International Transfers

Some of the third parties above (including some AI model providers) may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the provider's own standard contractual clauses, to protect your data.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account and conversation data for as long as your account is active, so you can pick up past conversations where you left off. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep something longer for a legitimate reason (for example, billing records we're legally required to retain).

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Most of these you can act on directly from your account Settings. For anything else, contact us via the details published at gdatai.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we haven't handled your data properly.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under that age, in line with the minimum digital-consent age under the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures - including encryption in transit and hashed passwords - to protect your data. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep the Service and your data safe.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.

11. Contact
